How CuriFox works
One question, one page. The how-tos describe the app as it is today.
Getting started
Building routes
- How do I build a route? Building a route in CuriFox: either pick only the length at the top (a loop from where you are) or tap start and destination on the map. A route costs 10 coins.
- What are Featured Routes? Featured Routes are routes we built and checked, with their own questions. Find them in the Featured tab, buy them with gems, and they land in your route list.
On the way
Coins and gems
- What are coins and how do I earn them? Coins are the game currency of CuriFox: a route costs 10, you earn them by reaching stations (+1), right answers (+2), voting (+1), finishing a route (+2) and guessing the hidden place (+4).
- What are gems and what do I need them for? Gems are the premium currency of CuriFox: 2 at the start, +3 with the code R9CJ33, packs of 10, 25 and 60 gems. Unlocking an area costs 5 gems; Featured Routes and cities cost gems.

Artifacts, steps and the goal city
- What are artifacts and how do I collect them? In unlocked areas, opening places occasionally drops pieces of artifacts. Collect all pieces, put them together and build your collection of figurines and pictures.
- How do I unlock the next city with steps? CuriFox reads your steps from Apple Health or Health Connect and adds them up. Set a goal city and every step moves you along the track until the city is unlocked for free.
Account and problems
- What can I do as a guest, and what do I need an account for? As a guest you can build and walk a route in CuriFox without an account. With an account, coins, gems, routes and cities are saved, and areas, Featured Routes and the code R9CJ33 become possible.
- Something does not work. What can I do? The most common problems in CuriFox and their fixes: location not found, station does not open, no route in my area, no push notification, language of the stories.
