What are gems and what do I need them for?

Gems are the second currency, the one you can also buy. You do not need them to build and walk routes. They open extras: a new area, a Featured Route, a new city right away.

What gems are spent on

Unlocking an area on the map: 5 gems (how it works). Buying a Featured Route: the price is on the route card. Unlocking the next big city immediately instead of walking the steps. And exchanging gems for coins: 1 gem gives 10 coins.

Where gems come from

Every new user gets 2 gems at the start. The code R9CJ33 adds 3 more, 5 in total: that makes the first area free. On the way a gem occasionally drops from a reward, which is luck. And you can buy gems in the app's shop: packs of 10, 25 or 60 gems, about 1 euro per gem; the 60 pack has 10 gems free. The App Store or Google Play shows the exact price in your currency.

Entering the code

Open the profile, tap Redeem code and enter R9CJ33. The code works once per account. It does not work as a guest, only with an account.
